The 15th Anniversary of the European Humanities University
2008 Scholars at Risk Network Membership Meeting
On June 20-21, the European Humanities University and the Scholars at Risk Network co-hosted a meeting and symposium in Vilnius, Lithuania on "Defending the University: Academic Freedom in Central and Eastern Europe." The purpose of the event was to build solidarity among scholars and institutions and to identify practical approaches for defending the intellectual space. The conference and workshop were partly supported by a grant from Foundation Open Society Institute (Zug). View the complete event program here.
